X-Ray Services DeLand
An X-Ray, or radiograph, is a non-invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Imaging with X-Rays involves exposing a part of the body to a small dose of ionizing radiation to produce pictures of the inside of the body.
Advanced Diagnostic Power in New Digital Radiographic X-Ray System
Clinicians at Victoria Medical Park Imaging use a new Discovery™ XR650 digital radiography system at Florida Hospital Deland’s new Victoria Medical Park.
The Discovery™XR650 helps physicians clearly see the internal structure of their patients to view injuries and abnormalities and confidently prescribe the best treatment. What’s unique about the Discovery™XR650 system is that it offers several innovative advanced clinical applications and automated features that are geared to improving the patient experience.
Advanced clinical applications include:
- Dual Energy Subtraction eliminates overlying bone obstruction from chest or abdominal images. It provides a standard PA radiograph, a soft-tissue only image with the bones removed, and an image of the bones highlighting foreign objects and calcified abnormalities.
- Features such as auto-image paste, auto-positioning and auto-processing help reduce exam times as well as shorter wait times for processed images.
- The flexibility of the hardware components simplifies patient positioning. Patients in wheelchairs or those with physical limitations will appreciate the speed at which we can position them for X-rays. By offering this technology at Victoria Medical Park, we continue our tradition of putting the latest tools to work to benefit patients and families in our community.
If your insurance company requires a referral or authorization number for diagnostic testing, you MUST have the referral or authorization number with you at the time of your exam. If you arrive for your exam without this information, we will attempt to get the referral/authorization number from your physician’s office or insurance company, but please realize that your exam may need to be rescheduled. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time to fill out the necessary forms. It is important that you bring any previous films relating to your exam so that our doctors can properly evaluate your results. For your convenience, we have Spanish speaking employees.
Any specific instructions regarding your procedure will be provided prior to your appointment. Note that all medications may be taken. If you have questions about these preparations, please call us at (386) 740-4020.
